Which topic do you find most significant? Why?

 - In my Educational Technology classes, i fond all the topics significant , because each topic has various of role being played in the educative process of the learner. I as a future educator must know how those certain topic should be applied in order for me to be able to assess to my students needs in order to learn.

Which topic do you find most difficult to understand? Why?

- For me there isn't a difficult topic as long as you listen wholeheartedly and you are observant to what sequences do the lecturer use for the topic to be understand with the use of technology you will also be able to understand the discussion easily. As future educator nothing is difficult it is your responsibility to assess to your students learning and your assessment to yourself.

How do you find the use of our website (gg.gg)? Is it useful or not? Suggest ways to improve it.

- it is very useful because we will be able to study and review our previous discussion , but some other who do not have access to internet this days will have a hard time answering the following activities needed in the educational technology subject. I suggest that it could have been better if the lecturers give hand-outs for other who are not able to assess the internet.

The new paradigm of education is done by creating engaging and inspiring learning experiences. Was the semester inspiring and engaging to you as a student of ED 126? Why?

- Yes. for the reason that this subject provides new strategies to be use in teaching, as future educators it is a opportunity to be able to take this subject because we were able to know the new set of strategies that will be used in teaching our future learners. And as a 21st century teacher it is needed for us to be able to know about the new tools and technology that will be used in teaching the students because the learning of the students is not focused on the subject matter but it also need some ideas and strategies that would help you as a future teacher motivate your students to learn.

Suggest ways on how to improve the teaching and learning process in educational technology subject (ED 126)?

- all i can say about my Educational Technology subject is that, it doesn't need improvement because it is already taught clearly and it is effective because i have learned so many things in this subject. Without this subject i will not be able to know how the new technology can be used in teaching my future learners. And this subject also has ways to help teachers in the near future to know how we will handle the students or the learners in connection to their interest and their likes.

a. Why do we need to develop self-directed learners?

-as future educators, we must be the one to help learners to be self-directed. We must encourage them to achieve their goals in life. Teacher-support may be the way for a learner to develop and attain a successful life. Self-directed learners will also become independent and may be able to sustain the needs of life.

    b. As future teachers, how will you help your students become self-directed learners?

-As future teachers I can help my students to become self-directed learners by letting them know the importance of achieving their goals and dreams in life. Helping, encouraging and motivating the learners are ways ti help them realize how important it is.

    c. What student-support materials will you provide your students to help them become self-directed?

- There are many student-support materials, each of them will help the teacher attain the goals he or she need to give to the learners. It is very important to expose the learners.

Learning Log 3

Google Apps for Education are tools which could help an individual in his or her work. As a future educator and as the same time as a student all the Applications for Education supplied by Google are useful and may be a great help in one's work. Understanding the usage of Google Apps for Education is one major guideline to help you in working with the applications you are going to use.

                       All applications are useful because each application has there own purpose so in that sense the application are applicable in what you are working on with. In my subject area which is Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health the tools that are really useful is almost all, because in my subject area their are varieties of strategies that needed to be used in teaching or learning. So the application must be used to guide and to help me and my peers.

                      I can incorporate these tools in my unit plan, especially in planning and creating activities, lessons and discussion for my students. I can easily put in to words the things that are my thoughts is trying to say to me and because of the applications it will allow me to show to my students different varieties of application of our lesson and i may also see different strategies in teaching or learning the subject I am in.There will also  be collaboration and interaction between other's perspective which would also help me adjusting my unit planning.

                     I am hoping this tools will update and some other tools will be created because they really has an great impact to today's generation especially know that our education is already based in technology and most of the people nowadays are always relying on technology. This would be a perfect partner that enables future educator to teach the students effectively. The applications may also help me as a future educator to see other's perspective of the subject area I am teaching. It also would catch the attention of the students because the class will not be boring if their will be different ways of teaching the subject.

Google Applications for Education is a great step for a better world. It helps future educators to motivate children to go to school and it would a way of changing the world by educating children in various groups of our society. This would be a step for the world to educate the people that would also be a way of the different culture to understand their differences.

a. What are the ISTE standards that you possess? Please cite specific personal experiences wherein you portray such standards?

        - For me, in the ISTE standards for students among the 7 standards , I only possess 4 standards where I found myself good at. 

• First is being a empowered learner , where I experience way back in my ED 125 class where I seek help from the perspective of other people using the technology present around me , like the usage of computer in my ED 125 class in getting information about the people;'s perspective of the latest technology nowadays.
• Second is being a digital citizen , where the thought of this as what I have understand is the student must be responsible and ethical in using the digital world as part of his or her learning. I experienced before how to use my resources from the internet for my reports and my projects that I must examine it if its really a correct and sufficient for my report and projects.
• Third is being a innovative designer , where being a innovative designer uses technology as a tool to help solve problems by being a innovative thinker as a form of tool to answer or give solution to the problem. I experienced before that I created a project which needed much deeper understanding to answer the problem being ask. I used digital tools to plan my solution, and with the use of my digital tools I finished my project in a innovative way.
• Fourth is being a creative communicator , where a students must communicate clearly and globally. I experience this almost everyday in my class because I practice speaking in English and share the learning I have found in my resources in the internet. I can also communicate some ideas using my own opinion and with the knowledge I got from my  resources, I also made a report where I used mix ideas from me and my peer in order to create a new form of idea for our report, we created new creations of ideas for the said topic that was given for us to report.

b. As a future teacher, in what ways can you develop these standards among your students?

       - As a future teacher I can develop this skills to my students if I am open-minded to their differences where I could help them develop with the use of technology to motivate them to enhance the standards present among them. Being a teacher would need a lot of patience to understand that not all students can cope up with the standards that is common most of the students but always remember that everyone has their own kind of characteristics and maybe has their own kind of standard, because today's generation is more on technology. And as a teacher we must explain how to use the standard present among the students in order for them to be guided in how to properly use it and must be able to share their knowledge and perspective about the standard they possess. And lastly, as a teacher I must encourage them to use it as a tool for their education that could be useful to help them be more knowledgeable in some aspects or maybe all aspects of their field or education. And as a teacher it is your aim to help them develop their standards that can be used for them to achieve their dreams and goals in life.

A. What are the 21st century skills that you need to develop?How are you going to develop theses skills?

          - In the 21st century skills , all I can say is that all of this are already present in me as a future teacher, but the skills is needed to be develop in order for me to gain more knowledge and may apply the skills appropriately and effectively.The skills in the 21st century must be experienced, modeled, or taught explicitly, practiced and assessed throughout. So as a future teacher ,I must experience , learn explicitly , practice and was assessed throughout my learning to be able to develop the skills of a 21st century teacher.

B. As a future teacher, how will you develop the 21st century skills among your students?

          - As a future teacher , I could develop the skills of my students which regards to their needs as a student. Because as a teacher you are responsible of the learning and the interaction of the students towards themselves , to the environment and to the society. The students must also develop the skills by interacting with each other with the help of the teacher. The skills will be developed if the student have gained enough knowledge of the certain skill which would be a great help to the teacher , the student who have gain the skill will be able to help other students who are not yet capable of having the skill.Students must also practice the skills in by themselves and with the help of the people around them, because society brings a great factor to the development of a human being.
